Evaluation

This is referring to any technology i used during the evaluation stage, when completing the CCR tasks.

CCR TASK 1

Conventions & representation

The primary program I used for this task was PowerPoint. However, I found the template choice limiting as I used these in other blogs before.
To give a greater choice of templates I used Slidescanva to give a more unique and professional look.
For example, the polaroid pictures and the taping on the pictures I felt gave a different feel than your standard PowerPoint presentation
Alongside this I made use of the animations available on PowerPoint; fade in, fade out, fly away, swipe etc.
I also used my phone and laptop to populate the presentation by taking screen shots from my opening sequence uploaded on Youtube. I felt this made the presentation more engaging to the reader rather than static texts.
The presentation was finished by using a GIF on the final slide to add motion and dynamic to a closing slide. This also seemed like a more personal conclusion synonymous with a signature.
Loom was utilised to support the presentation so people could watch and hear the presentation as if I was personally giving it. I thought this was a nice touch for those with a vision impairment as a means of social inclusion.

CCR TASK 2

Engaging your audience

Blogger is an American online content management system (CMS) which enables multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. The way in which I completed CCR2 was by creating my work on pages, Pages is a powerful word processor that lets you create stunning documents, therefore I used this program to then take screen shots and copy them onto bloggers platform to create unique and exciting presentation.

I use Pages daily, therefore finding it easy to use and enabled me to make a graphic, visually interesting, and a colourful presentation.
I used numerous pictures and videos from my mobile phone which I had taken during the filming of the opening sequence.
In addition, I inserted some extracts of my recordings on zoom placing a new and different media than my other blogs.
I also edited some of the videos by screen recording, then clipping elements and inserting them into the presentation.

CCR task 3

Development of production skills

Prezi creates interactive visuals that appear right next to you on screen as you present.

It was interesting to try another program and opportunity to expand my skills.
Whilst the outcome I was very proud of I did find this difficult to use. For example, a number of the functionaries were very restrictive and could be only done in the format provided. For example, you couldn't place photos where you wanted.
The positive aspects of Prezi are that the visual display is very engaging to the viewer and differentiates itself from the more commonly used powerpoint e.g it starts as one poster that zooms in and out to each section in an animated way.
Again as with task 2 I included videos and text from my blogger and from my zoom videos I made.

CCR TASK 4

Integration of technology

Wix is a platform to create ones own website
I first used this program at my previous school but at that time I struggled because I did not have quite as advanced computer skills as I do now.
However, this time I really enjoyed this program because for the first time I was able to develop a website of my own.
The formate of this website is easy to follow as we are familiar in using day today this type of technology.
I was able to upload a lot of information in an organised and interesting way, by including videos, pictures , GIF's and links. For example, the menu bar is very clear at defining the different stages of the development of the opening sequence.
The program gave me the creative flexibility to emend the standard template in the way I wanted to achieve e.g designing each of the strips, pages and tabs.
I was pleased to overcome my fear of the program and have ended with a professional website incorporating many of the other technology techniques and something I can continue to improve.
